This video of comedian Sarah Silverman introducing Bernie Sanders is amazing. It captures much of the sentiment that underlies the enthusiasm for Bernie Sanders and his battle to win the Democratic nomination for President. By now the oligarchy in America is so entrenched, and the money in American politics is so corrupting that an honest politician who doesn’t accept corporate money seems like a miracle. That an honest politician who doesn’t accept corporate money and openly calls himself a democratic socialist can be a serious candidate for the Democratic nomination may signal a real sea change in the American electorate.
